Viking Rune Series
This series of pendants was inspired by my Scandinavian heritage, and following a trip to Sweden and Finland, my interest in the Viking Runes. The Vikings used a system of writing called the runic alphabet, which contains 24 symbols called runes. Each rune has associated with it a meaning that is considered to be spiritual in nature and is often connected with Norse mythology.
These unique handmade pendants were created using sterling silver with crushed raw semi-precious gems and minerals, all embedded in resin for a smooth and durable finish. Each pendant is handcrafted , so each piece will have its own unique characteristics. Browse below the gallery of the rune designs and an interpretation of their meanings.
