Lisa Martin is an artist and jewelry designer who creates handmade silver and stone jewelry. She lives in Connecticut and occasionally escapes to Maine for ideas and inspiration. She earned a B.A. degree and later earned an Associate of Arts degree in Visual Fine Arts and Graphic Design, where she graduated Suma Cum Laude, Phi Theta Kappa honor society, and was awarded the Rainwater design award for excellence in graphic design. She has had paintings and drawings exhibited in juried art shows at various art venues in New England. In recent years her interest has turned toward creating jewelry. She has studied silversmithing and has combined her interest in design with the handcrafting of silver jewelry, and has participated in juried craft shows with her jewelry collection.

Most recently Lisa developed a line of pendants and earrings using crushed stone and resin to create meaningful designs with raw semi-precious stones and minerals. The resin brings out the color and texture of the stone and delivers a smooth finish. Each pendant and pair of earrings is unique due to the characteristics of the individual stones. These pendants are inspired by the Viking Runes and the Ancient Greek elements.  She also created a line of unique one-of-a-kind pendants using colored glass and natural and manufactured sea glass embedded in resin. The earring collection is created using the same crushed stone and resin technique, some with silver accents and beads added, to mix and match with the pendants or simply wear alone.
